(Contract) Content development and migration for a huge project to hand over technology
and transfer knowledge to Yahoo! Japan.

•

The initiative involved transferring Signal’s digital marketing technology SaaS platform to
a completely distinct infrastructure largely hosted on AWS.

•

Tasks include legacy content discovery and audit, new content development, validation,
and factual update of Signal’s organizational knowledge. The documentation deliverable
consisted mainly of a large Confluence wiki site that documented the entire platform and
all components in detail, including all operational and development tools and practices.

Senior Technical Writer, July 2016 – November 2018

•

Sole technical writer maintaining product documentation for an integrated suite of
telecommunications monitoring hardware and software solutions. Maintained, revised,
and published operation and administration manuals, as well as release notes.

•

Documentation restructuring and conversion to multichannel publishing platform. This
involved more ********** printed pages of wide-ranging legacy content, developing a

(Contract) Implemented an information model and content-reuse system based on the
XML-based DITA open standard. This involved conversion of more ********** printed

use by customer service teams during customer engagements.

Served in multiple capacities, including front-line editing, development of standards and 
processes, technical implementation of content using Dreamweaver (HTML editor) and 

Tridion (content-management system). Specifically, I participated in:

•Editing and rewriting knowledge articles in collaboration with department personnel.
•Uploading revised content to a new content management system (Tridion). This included 

modifying HTML code as necessary.

•

deliveries. Coordinated a geographically dispersed team to identify and migrate legacy 
content into a reusable structure. This included developing best-practices and standards 
documents and implementing a collaboration strategy using SharePoint.

Stepped into an entirely unfamiliar domain (locomotive manufacturing) with little 
orientation. Quickly assumed primary responsibility for developing scheduled 
maintenance manuals for an entirely new locomotive model.

•

Developed and implemented a task-based, modular documentation set spanning the 
entire health-care mobility platform, as well as all of its different solutions (including 
Cardiology, OB, Patient Monitoring, and Electronic Medical Records).

I documented both the client (iOS and Android) and server sides of the platform.

Throughout the development cycle, I served the development team as a user experience 
advocate, collaborating in design and implementation strategies for the Patient
